Area Funeral & Memorial Consultant

you’ll be the point of contact for clients as you support them throughout the process of making funeral and memorial choices. This role requires travel to our branches in Portsmouth and surrounding areas. Flexibility to support other branches may be required. There is a fixed addition of £1,300 per annum which is to contribute towards business car insurance, travel time and general wear and tear on your vehicle. You will also be able to reclaim business mileage expenses. What you'll get: 31 days leave (Pro rata & incl bank holidays) rising to 36 with service 20% store discount Healthcare cash plan, pension & share incentive plan Cycle-to-work scheme Training & development opportunities What to expect: Guiding clients through the process of arranging the funeral of their loved one, ensuring standards and expectations are exceeded. Making sure funeral arrangements, memorialisation orders and aftercare services are perfect by ensuring compliance, accuracy and high attention to detail throughout. Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers. Ensuring correct care of the deceased, for example, conducting daily checks and facilitating Reflection Room visits for families. Being proactive in community engagement initiatives. What we're looking for: IT literate and a competent user of MS Office. Excellent communicator with strong organisational abilities and attention to detail. Can display resilience and be comfortable working alone in branch. High level of understanding, empathy, and compassion. UK driving license required (access to your own vehicle). Training: Previous experience within the funeral industry is not required as we’ll provide full training. Travel to other sites will be required.
