Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a Group of Manufacturing organisations with their search for a Head of Production Engineering & Design. The overall responsibility is to lead multiple sites around their engineering and design activities, manage projects to ensure customer expectations are met and proactively identify, develop and implement process improvements across the manufacturing and engineering environment.
Key aspects of the role:
Manage and control the design and development of products to ensure customer requirements are met within current capabilities. Overall responsibility for the design of new tooling to meet product and quality standards. Provide technical and leadership support to the operational departments. Upkeep the maintenance of documentation to ensure products and tools can be manufactured. Drive a safety and right-first-time culture. Lead and drive a continuous improvement mentality within the operations. Actively lead cost reduction, quality and productivity improvement projects. Provide mentorship and leadership to the design and engineering team to provide technical and operational support. Contribute to the strategic business plan as part of the Senior Leadership Team. Experience required:
Degree educated or above in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Product Design). Experience in a similar, heavy manufacturing environment. Proven experience leading and managing Engineering & Design team/s. Detailed knowledge of CAD packages. Benefits:
