We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer/Solicitor to join our ambitious and high performing legal team. Across the legal service we have over 60 lawyers supported by a dedicated practice manager and paralegal team. The legal team is part of Legal and Democratic Services within the Chief Executive’s Group. The Council provides a range of services across North Yorkshire, and the legal team provides a comprehensive and efficient legal service to officers, the Executive, full Council, its Committees and Members, and external clients. The role will form part of the newly established Major Projects legal team, and will primarily focus on providing legal support to the range of corporate delivery structures adopted by the council in its service provision. The Major Projects legal team advises and supports a range of regeneration and economic development projects across North Yorkshire, as well as providing advice to the newly formed York and North Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
