Transport Supervisor

to join our team in Foston. In this role, you will oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective deliveries while upholding safety and regulatory standards. You will lead a team of drivers and transport staff, ensuring smooth scheduling, compliance, and performance optimisation. Hours of Work

:Sunday to Thursday (Monday to Thursday 18:00-02:15 ( Sunday 18:00-06:00) What You'll Be Doing: Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of drivers and transport staff. Conduct team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews. Handle return-to-work and Bradford Factor meetings.

Scheduling and Coordination: Plan and adjust transport schedules to meet delivery requirements. Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimise loads and routes. Respond to changes in demand or unforeseen logistical challenges.

Compliance and Safety: Enforce legal requirements and company transport policies. Conduct safety audits and promote safe driving practices. Ensure compliance with hours-of-service regulations.

Performance and Reporting: Monitor KPIs to improve transport efficiency and address issues promptly. Report on operations, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

Customer and Resource Management: Support the Customer Service Manager with transport-related queries. Maintain high customer satisfaction through timely, accurate deliveries. Oversee vehicle servicing, maintenance, and resource allocation.

What We’re Looking For: Experience: Minimum of 3 years in transport/logistics, including 1 year in a supervisory role. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams. Familiarity with inventory and transport management systems.

Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in MS Office and transport-related software. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of modern transport practices, route planning, and safety regulations. HGV License (desirable but not essential).

Personal Attributes: High level of honesty and integrity. Ability to perform under pressure and make quick decisions.
