Our client, a Civil Engineering Contractor, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on projects related to climate adaptation and infrastructure. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will receive a generous salary of up to £85k, along with a car allowance or a Salary Sacrifice Electric/Hybrid Car Scheme, company bonus, private healthcare, and fantastic career development opportunities. The company that the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working for is a well-established Civil Engineering contractor, involved in projects from conception through construction to project delivery. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on prestigious projects around Portsmouth. Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration Salary - Up to £85k 25 Days holiday + BH Pension up to 10% match Phone Bonus Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview Manage the Cost Value Reconciliation process within the business Establish and maintain the Operations/Commercial partnership required Monitor and manage risk & associated budgets Procure subcontractors at lower than Tender sums whenever possible, seeking to negotiate the best price for the company Build strong relationships with clients & their representatives Discuss and develop procurement strategy with team members & in accordance with the contract programme, monitoring & updating as necessary Submit timely applications for payments to ensure cash can be collected in accordance with the Contract Manage subcontractors effectively & in accordance with their terms & conditions Ensure project cost forecasts are updated accurately and in a timely manner Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements Bachelors or Masters in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management RICS membership or working towards it NEC3,4, ECC, ICE & JCT full contract awareness Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a Civil Engineering environment Understanding of CVRs & financial reports Experience in dispute resolution Bennett and Game Recruitment is a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex, operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
