The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide a wide range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations. The department also provides a respiratory service performing overnight oximetry, 5-channel sleep studies, spirometry, FENO testing and full lung function testing. We aim to provide an effective and efficient service. You will work to both national and local protocols and guidelines. Main duties of the job

The post holder can tailor their role within the team by agreement with the manager according to their own interests and balanced with the needs of the service, i.e., echocardiography, pacemakers and/or respiratory diagnostics. Undertake ambulatory monitor application including ECG, BP and event recorders, ensuring device is appropriately applied and optimal recording gained. Download and analyse recordings, make comprehensive reports and take appropriate action without immediate supervision. Perform full lung function testing, reversibility studies, overnight oximetry and produce appropriate and technically accurate reports. Ensure maintenance, calibration, and general care of respiratory equipment. Perform medically supervised and cardiac physiologist led ETT, monitoring and assessing recovery. Perform the same within Nuclear imaging and exercise. Become competent in head up tilt testing, managing equipment and reporting findings. Monitor and record hemodynamic measurements during cardiac catheterisation. Assist with the implantation of a range of cardiac devices, performing post-implant checks and optimal programming for the specific individual under the supervision of the lead cardiac physiologist.
