SENIOR / GEOTECHNICAL CONSULTANT sought at a dynamic and supportive SME Multidisciplinary Consultancy. This 100% remote role is based out of Merseyside. Overview Our client is a dynamic and supportive small consultancy in the North West, known for their commitment to professional development and support towards chartership and beyond. Responsibilities Perform geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and earthworks. Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including recommendations for construction and design. Utilize geotechnical software for analysis and design, such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and gINT. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide geotechnical input for various projects. Manage and oversee geotechnical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met. Mentor and support junior staff in their professional development and towards achieving chartership. Gain exposure to project management and commercial aspects of projects. Work on cradle-to-grave projects, providing comprehensive involvement from initial planning through to project completion. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 8 years’ relevant industry background. Chartered status or working towards chartership is highly desirable. Professional experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record in consultancy. Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. On offer Salary £35,000 - £55,000. 100% remote working arrangement. Comprehensive support for professional development and chartership.
