Position Overview: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership and operational management of the Oak Tree Farm site. The COO will oversee all the daily operational processes on site and lead the implementation of new systems including a new intake and rehoming program, finance system, HR system and drive efficiency across the organisation. This position requires a passionate leader with a strong commitment to animal welfare, exceptional management skills, and the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:

Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and implement the organization's strategic goals and objectives. Develop the onsite operational intake and rehoming processes and align resources to ensure the success of strategic initiatives. Operational Management:

Oversee all operational functions, including shelter management, finance, facilities, HR and outreach programs. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote organisational efficiency and effectiveness. Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor senior staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Promote professional development opportunities to build a skilled and motivated team. Financial Oversight:

Work closely with the finance department and CEO to develop and manage the annual onsite budget. Monitor financial performance and ensure the effective use of resources. Program Development:

Evaluate existing programs and identify areas for improvement or new initiatives that align with the charity’s mission. Ensure that programs meet the needs of the community and adhere to best practices in animal welfare. Advocacy and Education:

Ensure all staff champion animal welfare issues and advocate for policies that benefit animals in the community and beyond. Assist in the development of educational programs to raise public awareness about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. Job Type:
