Learning Support Assistant
to support children in
KS1 and KS2
within a
SEND school
that caters for young people aged
3 to 19 years old . This school is based near Riding Mill. The ideal
Learning Support Assistant
will have previous experience working with young people who have
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) , as well as a
genuine interest and commitment
to helping them reach their full potential. This is a great opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of working with children who have
moderate
and
severe learning disabilities . The normal working pattern is
Monday to Friday 8:30 until 16:30
on a long-term basis. Working with Leader Education: Competitive pay rates Refer a friend or colleague bonus scheme: £100 per referral (terms apply) Free CPD training including Safeguarding A dedicated consultant to answer any queries and provide ongoing support Potential permanent contract after a qualifying period The successful candidate will: Need an enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs Monitor and manage students' behaviour and wellbeing Support the development of social and emotional skills Assist with personal care if needed Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students Exhibit a compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse needs Interested candidates are invited to submit a comprehensive CV outlining their teaching experience and qualifications relevant to this role.
