I am on the hunt for a dynamic Buyer (Indirect Procurement) to lead procurement strategies across vital business areas like services, equipment, packaging, and more. If you're passionate about driving cost efficiencies, building strategic supplier relationships, and championing sustainable practices, this is the role for you!

I'm working with a forward-thinking company based in Chichester who pride themselves on innovation, collaboration, and excellence. As a Buyer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the business operations run smoothly and efficiently, all while working in a vibrant, inclusive environment that values your contributions.

What You'll Be Doing:

Own the Procurement Process:

Oversee indirect spend categories like facilities, IT, packaging, and transport to maximise value and supplier performance. Drive Savings:

Analyse spending data and identify cost-saving opportunities in high-spend categories. Lead Supplier Relationships:

Negotiate contracts, manage performance, and foster strong partnerships to secure the best terms for the company. Champion Compliance:

Manage and enforce the Purchasing Policy, ensuring all procurement activities align with internal controls and ethical standards. Mitigate Risks:

Proactively identify procurement risks and develop strategies to maintain continuity of supply. Collaborate Cross-Functionally:

Work closely with finance, operations, and project teams to align procurement with business goals. Stay Ahead of Trends:

Monitor market innovations to enhance procurement processes and sustainability initiatives.

What You Bring to the Table: Experience:

At least 2 years in an indirect procurement role, preferably in agriculture, FMCG, or manufacturing, managing high-spend categories. Analytical Mindset:

Strong data analysis skills to optimise spending and supplier performance. Negotiation Power:

Proven success in negotiating cost-effective supplier agreements. Policy Expertise:

Demonstrated ability to lead and enforce procurement policies. Team Spirit:

A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications: CIPS qualification (or working towards it) is desirable. Degree in procurement, supply chain, or a related field (preferred). Proficiency in procurement software and Excel.

What We Offer: A competitive salary and benefits package. Opportunities for professional growth and CIPS certification support. A collaborative and innovative work environment. The chance to make a real impact on a growing business with sustainability at its core. #J-18808-Ljbffr
