Consultant in General Radiology with interest in Uroradiology

Consultant Radiologist: Consultant in General Radiology with special interest in Uroradiology LNWUH NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic and motivated radiologist to join a team of 60 consultants, three staff grade doctors and 23 registrars working collaboratively across the three sites to provide high quality imaging service. The successful candidate will contribute to the broad spectrum of work undertaken by our consultant radiologists as detailed in the job description. The posts are based at Northwick Park, and Ealing Hospitals. Post-holders will be expected to cover activities on multiple sites, as required. Commitments will include relevant MDTs, imaging-guided procedures, plain radiograph, CT and MRI reporting. Applications should contain names and addresses of three referees (one of which should be your current or most recent employer), details of GMC registration and CCT (or evidence of eligibility to apply for CCT). Applicants who apply for more than one post may not be considered. Applicants must have full GMC Registration and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for inclusion within six months of the interview date. Main duties of the job
General responsibilities will include acute, elective and on call work. Teaching and training are actively encouraged. There will be an on-call commitment which will include weekend working. Recognised Medical Degree Knowledge and Expertise
Broad based general professional training in general medicine Comprehensive training and experience in general imaging Comprehensive training and experience in Uroradiology imaging Registration
On GMC registered Medical Practitioner GMC specialist registration or within six months of CCT or CESR Teaching
Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff Management and Audit
A broad understanding of the management role of a consultant and mechanisms Knowledge of finance/budgets Research/ Publication
Proven ability to carry out and present research projects Presentations at National meetings Disclosure and Barring Service Check
