The dynamic Communications Department at Chivas Brothers brings together a team of talented individuals split between London and Glasgow. We represent a diverse mix of disciplines and expertise from global consumer PR & brand communications to content production, to influencer and experiential marketing, to corporate communications, internal communication & culture, sustainability & responsibility, and engagement, across the full suite of stakeholder groups. Your unique contribution Role purpose: To develop and implement the annual global consumer PR & communications plan and related initiatives, campaigns and sports culture partnerships for Chivas Regal, the iconic blended Scotch whisky, and one of Chivas Brothers’ key strategic brands. To raise the brand’s profile and engagement levels with key media, influencers, channels, and within the Pernod Ricard Group, through developing creative and engaging global PR & Comms strategies that will drive earned reputation vs competitors, generating positive coverage and social conversation across relevant audiences, rooting the brand in culture. Your main areas of responsibility will be: Global Consumer PR & Communications Working in to the Global Senior Consumer PR & Communications Manager, successfully lead the day-to-day and use strategic planning to develop and deliver creative and dynamic global PR & communications plans, initiatives, and assets for Chivas Regal, with a focus on the brand’s sports culture platform. Utilise the brand’s high profile global partnerships and compelling storytelling to a) drive brand credibility and relevance across key audiences and b) drive positive earned impact at scale, placing Chivas Regal at the heart of culture as a modern luxury icon. Translate the global marketing strategy for earned audiences, activating plans across the full conversation ecosystem, and earned communications channels, to include social, online, print and broadcast target media audiences, influencer groups, publishers’ platforms. Support the brand’s key innovation pipeline, crafting engaging 360 communications strategies that cut through the conversation. Collaborate closely with Chivas Regal marketing team to ensure 360 integrated campaigns, providing always on strategic counsel on earned communications and assets Oversee management of global PR/communications agencies and delivery of the agreed scope of work, ensuring activities perform well against objectives Develop and distribute brand PR communications assets for use by market companies, providing global always on counsel to support local market PR plans Support the wider business S&R initiatives and ambitions through brand storytelling via newsworthy and ownable S+R narratives that aim to drive positive societal and environmental change. Pernod Ricard Communications Represent Chivas Brothers and its brands at media and launch events globally, as required, build relationships with market companies’ communications teams, and support the business and communications function at large with issues and crisis management to deliver thorough and agile solutions to developing situations. your contacts will be media, people of influence, content creators, agencies partners and brand partners Your blend of talent This position could be right for you if you: Are a seasoned consumer PR & communications expert with experience in agency or in-house Have proven experience of managing successful global PR & brand communications programs / campaigns – ideally in the sports culture space Have a passion for and/or knowledge of whisky/sports culture/modern luxury Know how to land earned conversation across the full media and social landscape Have strong expertise in social media / influencer marketing, event management experience and the ability to effectively plan and execute high-profile media events to communicate a wider marketing platform Are exceptionally well organised with ability to work autonomously and prioritise busy workload Can influence and interface effectively and professionally with other departments and company directors/stakeholders (in particular Marketing) Full understanding of and ability to interpret marketing strategies Ability to represent Chivas Brothers and Pernod Ricard externally and to media with authority Must have impeccable attention to detail and highly creative mind, with strong writing and presentation skills
