Main duties of the job
Working within a Multidisciplinary Team you will provide a high quality of service to children/young people and their families, ensuring their care, education and therapy needs are met. You will need to be a registered nurse, experience of working with children and young people with complex disabilities and complex health needs is desirable. With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation. is the UKs leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service. We are located just outside of London, close to the M25 (accessible via Junction 8, A217 to Tadworth) and easily accessible via National Rail, by way of: Clapham Junction, Sutton, and Epsom. Registered Nurse. Evidence of continuing professional development. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience. Experience
Previous experience of working with children/young people with disabilities and complex health needs. Skills & Abilities
Evidence of being able to communicate effectively within a nursing role. Demonstrates an understanding of the change process in a healthcare setting. Able to demonstrate a holistic approach to the care of children. Understands and has the ability to document concise and accurate records. Works within Professional Boundaries. Knowledge
Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Word. Understanding of responsibilities in line with safeguarding vulnerable children and their families. Personal Qualities
Commitment to the vision and values of The Childrens Trust. Flexible and can-do attitude to competing demands. Highly motivated and reliable. Ability to demonstrate resilience in a demanding environment. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
