SEND Teacher Teacher, within a SEND school Croydon located ASAP start Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, delivering engaging lessons, and supporting the academic and personal growth of students. This role requires a commitment to educational excellence and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential. We are looking for a teacher for our Key stage 2 class, mixed age formal class - it is a class of 8 students, 4 TAs who access between Y1 and Y4 curriculum as well as lessons around emotional literacy, communication, social interaction etc. All are Autistic and have learning difficulties. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students. Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing, assignments, and feedback. Provide individual support to students who may require additional assistance or enrichment. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to enhance the educational experience for all students. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. Qualifications A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is preferred Previous teaching experience is preferred within SEND, but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with students of varying abilities. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
