Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating wound care for patients. Provide a plan of care using trust policies and pathways for guidance whilst utilising local formularies. Provide holistic assessment of patients needs making onward referrals where required. Ensure safeguarding needs are met and escalate where indicated, ensuring IPC policies and protocols are followed to maintain ongoing patient safety. Support junior staff and students in achieving their learning outcomes. Liaise with senior nurse, Tissue Viability, GPs, and wider MDT where required. Participate in audits to ensure ongoing quality and improvement within the service. Participate in ordering of clinic stock and dressing supplies, ensuring stock rotation to avoid waste of resources.
