Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants must demonstrate Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status in addition to addressing the selection criteria.

About the team: This position will work within the Palliative and End of Life Care Clinical (P&EOLCC) Stream. The team supports each other through regular online meetings and is committed to providing services that are inclusive of Aboriginal perspectives. The successful candidate will be supported by the Palliative Care Service Development Officer and District Clinical Network Manager, with cultural support and supervision available.

About the role: This is a new position and an opportunity to lead the development of processes to support Aboriginal people and their families to access P&EOLC services and support Aboriginal staff working within the P&EOLCC Stream. A key role will be to consult and collaborate with key stakeholders in developing a palliative and end of life care model that reflects local communities’ values, cultural beliefs, rituals and traditions of Aboriginal people.
