Carmichael UK are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the major projects team, based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater on a permanent basis. The project entails the construction of 3 tunnels under the sea bed that will supply 2 reactors with cooling water and then discharge it back into the Bristol Channel. A total of 9km of tunnels will be lined with 38,000 concrete segments. The tunnels will then be connected to the seabed by vertical shafts and capped with large intake and outfall heads that allow seawater to pass into the tunnels. As SPM you will lead and inspire a team towards shared goals. It is a pivotal role in which you will need to meet customer and project objectives whilst managing constraints in time, cost, quality, scope, risk, and benefits. About the Role:

Produce Programme of works, and detailed schedules. Assist the team to develop construction methodology, SSHEQ procedures, RAMS, and ITPs. Obtain suitable resources (Labour, Subcontractors, Plant, and Materials) to execute the work. Assist the commercial team to develop forecast budgets and manage actual cost. Assess programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, acting where appropriate and reporting any changes. Ensure handover information is being produced in readiness for handover. About You:

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil engineering projects. Strong knowledge of standard contract forms and their application. Skilled in commercial and project management communication. Experienced in implementing safe work systems and practices. In-depth understanding of performance evaluation methods and key performance metrics. Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a solution-oriented approach. Valid CSCS card. Proven tunnelling experience. Package:
