The opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager within the Sensors IPT, to deliver multiple complex and interdependent projects, utilising strong internal and external Customer facing skills. Your role will cover all aspects of Project Management including: Contract Status Reviews, Risk Management, Lifecycle Management and Financial Management. You will be responsible for Project execution and delivery, with particular emphasis on achieving Customer commitments: cross project and product alignment: dependency management: business winning: contract capture and decision making for the benefit of the Surveillance & Protection Technologies (S&PT) Sector.
What you'll do as a Senior Project Manager:
Management and overview of a series of inter-related and co-dependent projects
Schedule, cost and quality adherence
Dependency identification and management
Project Risk and Opportunity Management
Management of internal and external stakeholders / customers
Internal reporting to IPT Lead and/or Sector VP
Presentation at Sector and Line of Business project reviews to present project summary status
Ensure adherence to Company’s Lifecycle Management (LCM), as appropriate and tailored to suit
Internal Liaison with Development and Production Managers as required
Liaison with Functional Groups to ensure projects are appropriately resourced to achieve successful execution
Accountability for contract and project milestone delivery
Opportunities to progress within the organisation
There will be the requirement to travel both in the UK and abroad, which may mean overnight stays
What we need from you:
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplined teams (Including, but not limited to - Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Planning, Manufacturing and Operations)
Demonstrated experience with complex programmes in a military environment
Demonstrated experience of delivering complex export projects
Demonstrated ability to operate with multiple senior stakeholders
Demonstrated strong Customer relationship skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project planning, scheduling, work package management, sub-contract management and cost control
Degree qualified or equivalent
