iO Associates are on the lookout for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead innovative projects in mechanical design, FEA, and CFD for a well known aerospace and defence company. You'll collaborate with customers, manufacturers, and test houses, overseeing designs and ensuring compliance with standards and processes. Key Responsibilities: Act as the Subject Matter Expert for mechanical design Lead FEA, CFD, and mechanical/electro-mechanical design activities Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings and BOMs Provide leadership to the mechanical team and resolve design challenges What You'll Need: Significant experience in Mechanical Design Engineering An engineering degree (or equivalent experience) Knowledge of Defence Standards and strong problem-solving skills Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment Role Clearance Type: You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government clearance in line with the job role (SC)
