Permanent role, working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm. The role will require some weekend working on a rota basis. We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Intelligence Analyst to play a key role in the Central Control Team providing analysis and enacting our proactive and predictive capabilities to drive timely identification and interventions to maintain the functionality of the Company’s assets, deliver reductions in pollution, environmental incidents (e.g. internal and external sewer flooding), and facilitate an increase in Operational productivity. You will be using predictive analytics systems, monitoring data to help assure the operational response, drive actions to prevent future events and modifications to increase overall operational effectiveness. You will be expected to analyse data and information from a variety of sources, to diagnose asset performance issues, schedule remedial work and recommend actions to reduce failures and support Performance Commitments. The role holder will monitor the performance of the sewer network and wastewater sites, using systems and technology to understand performance patterns, investigate and intervene to prevent failures, whilst ensuring corporate risk records are created and updated. Working as part of the Operational Intelligence team, you will drive proactive ways of working, supported by new technology to predict, identify and proactively action issues, reducing both first-time and repeat failures. You will track, monitor and escalate where appropriate, providing clear understanding of current risk status (i.e. number of alerts outstanding, number of reactive orders incomplete etc.) What skills & qualifications are we looking for?

Excellent analytical and numerical skills Technically minded with innovative and creative abilities Good to extensive knowledge of Water and Wastewater assets and process Database and Spreadsheet expertise with advanced data handling and reporting skills Ability to formulate and present proposals Strong process focus including knowledge of Pollution Ability to work under pressure, within tight deadlines, and to prioritise activities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Logical, methodical and able to think around problems Familiar with standard risk and issue identification and management Extensive system awareness and data extraction ability Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft suite Willingness to adapt, learn new skills and new ways of doing things and can work independently and in a working group Able to visit sites as necessary, therefore a UK driving license with no more than 6 points is essential. Experience in delivering a reliable and consistent high quality output within a significant asset-based operation Knowledge and experience of best practice and constantly looking for new ways of working and improving Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships.
