to join our

Central Underwriting MI department

here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to the Underwriting Operations MI Manager and will support the management of TMK’s Delegated Authority business, specialising in operating the DA MI and reporting for the Data Management Team (DMT). The role includes responsibility for: Design and implement an effective MI & Reporting Framework to visualise and share data with our customer teams. Provide ongoing improvements to the MI suite of reports, creating dashboards, scorecards and KPI’s to keep senior managers informed of developments within the function. Report from the core Underwriting System (Eclipse) to understand risk level information and its interaction with other data sources across the business. Use SQL Server tools to extract, process and report on data held in TMK data warehouses, bordereaux management, workflow systems and external data sources, such as Lloyds CRS, as required to support business needs. Automate tasks using SQL, Python, MS Power Suite etc. to continually improve processes and systems. Undertake testing and implementation of new processes and procedures. Liaise and collaborate with teams across the business including Underwriting, Delegated Authority, Finance, Claims and IT departments providing support on BAU, projects and ad-hoc reporting. Have a clear understanding of the MI and Reporting team’s customer requirements and outcomes. Ensure a high degree of data quality by creating validation rules and report on exceptions for remediation. Complete and submit monthly and quarterly regulatory returns in a timely manner. Have a clear understanding of the company's underwriting risk appetites in terms of Business Plan, Delegated Authority and the wider company goals. Champions the company values and works in accordance with the organisational behaviours. The successful candidate will need to be highly numerate and hold a mathematical (or related discipline) degree. Experience in dealing with large datasets and providing logic-based solutions would also be beneficial, as would knowledge of SQL and structured databases.
