Main duties of the job
To work as part of the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (RCHT)/Cornwall Foundation Trust (CFT) Nutrition and Dietetic team providing dietetic support and advice to patients and Health Professionals in the area of stroke and acute neurology working across multiple sites in Cornwall.
To undertake direct and non-direct clinical work that contributes to the delivery of a high quality safe and effective dietetic service.
To develop appropriate resources as required.
To keep accurate records in accordance with RCHT/CFT and Health Professions Council regulations/policy.
To contribute to research, quality improvement and audit within the Nutrition and Dietetic service.

Essential
Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent HCPC Registered A teaching qualification or experience of teaching groups
Desirable
Membership of the British Dietetic Association. Completion of relevant courses
Experience
Essential
A wide range of post registration dietetic experience including delivery of services for in patients and those with neurological illness. Experience working in an inpatient environment
Desirable
Specialist experience of working within neurosciences
Skills
Essential
An ability to demonstrate best dietetic practice for a range of conditions An ability to evaluate and report on complex data
Desirable
Understanding of the pathology of neurological illnesses and the impact of this on the nutritional intake and status of individuals.
