Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Live in Carers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Live in Carer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities. This position is ideal for those who have a genuine passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills to deliver high-quality care. Duties Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry. Provide specialised care for clients with conditions such as dementia or those requiring hospice care. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Experience Previous experience in patient care, assisted living, nursing home settings or similar environments is preferred. Knowledge of first aid principles and practices is advantageous. Experience in dementia care or hospice care will be considered a significant asset. A caring attitude and strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and their families. Certification in caregiving or related fields is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates.
