The Role: As Senior Environmental Health Officer, you can make your own powerful contribution to ensuring everyone in Westminster can thrive in a clean, safe and quiet city. You'll play a vital role in helping junior colleagues to develop their careers. In this role, you'll draw on all your specialist technical skills and knowledge to champion health and wellbeing across a range of high profile cases, while guiding and supporting newer officers. You'll develop, implement and enforce environmental health policies and legislation through inspections, engagement, education, and enforcement. You'll also support the Principal Officer in developing and delivering training and quality monitoring systems, and get involved in projects to achieve process and service improvements.
About You: To join us, you'll need relevant qualifications plus a proven track record of post-qualification experience. You are used to managing cases and handling complex, high profile and political environmental health complaints. You've honed excellent communication, relationship building and conflict management skills by working with a range of agencies and professionals, and with diverse members of the public. You take pride in your ability to provide exceptional customer service and deliver real improvements to public health through education, influencing and appropriate intervention.
