Career Pathway Advisor Rochdale & Oldham £23,749.72 Full-time, Temporary (until end March 2025) The Role: Do you have a passion for inspiring young people to achieve their potential? We’re looking for a dedicated Career Pathway Advisor to guide and support individuals aged 15-19 (up to 24 with SEND or healthcare plans) as they navigate their education and career options. Based in Rochdale and Oldham, you’ll play a key role in helping young people overcome challenges and build sustainable futures. Duties: Engage Young People:

Build trust and motivation with individuals, helping them identify and overcome personal and professional barriers. Collaborate with Partners:

Foster relationships with schools, colleges, training providers, and youth centres to expand the programme’s reach and impact. Provide Tailored Support:

Deliver personalised one-on-one guidance, identifying clear, actionable steps toward education, training, or employment opportunities. Set Goals:

Help young people establish realistic goals, using SMART targets to track progress and celebrate milestones. Manage Caseloads:

Maintain accurate records of interventions, outcomes, and follow-ups to measure success and identify areas for improvement. Sustain Engagement:

Provide ongoing support to ensure placements or courses continue to align with young people’s aspirations. Required Skills: A proven track record of supporting individuals aged 15-19 (or up to 24 with SEND/healthcare needs) in education, training, or youth support roles. A natural ability to build trust and rapport, combined with a strong passion for helping young people thrive. Experience in creating tailored action plans to address individual barriers and foster personal development. Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, set and track SMART goals, and deliver measurable outcomes. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with young people, partners, and colleagues. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and keep accurate records in a dynamic environment. Due to the nature of this role, you will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check and there will be regular travel across the region so access to your own vehicle is essential.
