About the Role and the Team:

As a Senior Careers and Guidance Advisor in our team, you will play a pivotal role in addressing the education, employment, and training needs of our Care Experienced Young People. This is a unique opportunity to empower vulnerable young people, providing them with the care and guidance they need to thrive, while supporting them with future opportunities that help them build their independence.

As a restorative practice local authority, we foster a high support, high challenge environment and are committed to delivering an excellent service to our Care Experienced young people.

The role involves:

Supporting young people in gaining EET roles.

Running three careers drop-ins a week with the support of the Careers and Guidance Advisors.

Preparing reports for Senior Leadership regarding our EET figures.

Working with Personal Advisors to create pathway plans tailored to young people's immigration, education, health, employment, housing, cultural, and personal needs.

Regular one-on-ones with the Career and Guidance Advisors.

Key Requirements:

We welcome applications from Social Workers of all abilities who are:

Qualified - Level 6 in Careers Guidance or work history equivalent.

Passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people.

Culturally aware, empathetic, and sensitive to the unique needs of care-experienced and asylum-seeking children.

Able to build trusting relationships with young people and advocate effectively on their behalf.
