AFC Fylde is seeking a dynamic First Team Sport Scientist to join our team and help elevate player performance through science-based Strength and Conditioning. This is a new role that will work closely with the Head of Medical and other key stakeholders, shaping a data-driven programme to optimize performance for both the team and individual players. What You’ll Be Doing
Define and implement a strategic vision for Strength and Conditioning, driven by data and evidence-based practices. Collaborate with the Director of Football, Head of Medical, and First Team Manager to ensure clear, cohesive strategies. Create clear communication channels to enhance understanding and the dissemination of information. Guide and motivate team members, helping them meet goals and performance targets. Manage training and development plans, providing regular feedback and conducting appraisals. Oversee departmental budgets and support career growth and development within the team. About You
Strong experience in Strength and Conditioning, with a focus on data-driven, evidence-based practices. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and align with various stakeholders. Ability to motivate and guide team members to meet performance targets and achieve their goals. Experience in managing budgets and developing team growth.
