My client is looking for a Production Planning and Purchasing Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day resourcing of this small but busy business. The role will involve production planning, taking responsibility for stock inventory, quality, and compliance. This role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to shape the role and make it their own with excellent career progression prospects.

What will you be doing in the role?
Take responsibility for ensuring that raw materials are available for goods to be manufactured on time. Manage available resources to ensure work is allocated to the right staff with the right skill set in each department. Negotiate raw material pricing. Monitor supplier performance. Identify and report on areas of the business where efficiencies could be made to ensure cost-effective operations.
What we would like from you:
Hands-on experience of production management/purchasing. Tech savvy – use of MS Office, Sage, Sim manufacturing. Experience of working to quality systems, in particular ISO 9001. Knowledge of lean manufacturing systems.
