The Dream Career: Finance Manager The Location: Sheffield City Centre The Benefits Offered: 28 days holiday + bank holidays Westfield Health Pension Hybrid & flexible working The Hours: Full or Part Time both considered 9-5 pm Flexible Working The Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 DOE The Job Role: It is our pleasure to represent our long-standing client as they introduce a new Finance Manager into their team. While our client already has a fully-functioning finance structure in place, due to an internal change, we are looking to speak to experienced Finance Managers who are seeking their next challenging role and looking to head up the finance function of a hugely successful and highly regarded business. This role will include typical day-to-day financial activities and is pivotal in developing new finance functions for the business, as well as working strategically across all teams, managing budgets, assessing cash flow, and evaluating any financial risks that may arise. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director, as well as the Senior Leadership and wider team. Our client is open to applications from candidates seeking a full or part-time position. As Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Management of profit and loss Producing in-depth statements and key financial documents Reviewing monthly financial performance and projecting profitability Liaising with internal teams including Account Managers to assess work in progress and expected income Collaborating with the team to create financial forecasts and budgets Producing comprehensive financial guides to help steer the business and influence decision-making Conducting regular audits to ensure financial compliance across the business Identifying cost-saving strategies Conducting financial risk strategies to minimize any risks the business faces Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the pipeline is kept up to date across the business, including KPI monitoring and reporting Managing external relationships including with Accountants and banks as well as other financial organizations Overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping activities including payroll, invoicing, and credit control While there will be no direct reports immediately, the team is likely to grow, and therefore team management responsibilities will be included in the role We would love to hear from dynamic Finance Managers who have the following skills and experience: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or working towards one of these qualifications Previous managerial experience leading a finance team Experience working within professional or business services would be advantageous Confident using IT including Excel Confidence using Xero would be highly advantageous Exceptional analytical skills with excellent ability to interpret complex financial data Strong problem-solving skills Strict attention to detail Exceptional communication skills Driven Ability to work within a fast-paced role and business Hugely collaborative and enjoys working across the entire team including SLT, Managers, and the wider team For further information about this role please contact Becca as soon as possible.
