We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Grade Doctor to join an Eating Disorder Unit in Cheadle. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to patients suffering from eating disorders.
As a Staff Grade Doctor, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing the medical care of patients within a specialized eating disorder unit. You will collaborate closely with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all patients receive holistic and individualized care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide medical assessment and treatment to patients with eating disorders in an inpatient setting Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring integrated care for patients Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring medical and psychiatric needs are addressed Conduct regular patient reviews, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary Provide support and guidance to junior staff and trainees Participate in clinical supervision and case discussions Support the development and delivery of patient-focused care, considering both physical and mental health Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in the treatment of eating disorders Participate in on-call and out-of-hours services as required
Key Requirements: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
