Site Technical Manager c. £70,000 flex. Hull Job Reference: TM/1218 Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Technical Manager for a leading food manufacturing company based in Hull. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work with a well-established team, ensuring the highest quality standards across production processes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Basic Summary: As the Site Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the site. This includes managing the technical team, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and product quality. You will play a key role in supporting the business in maintaining its reputation for delivering safe, high-quality food products. Role Summary: In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage the site’s technical and quality assurance functions, acting as the key point of contact for all technical issues. You will be responsible for driving product innovation, troubleshooting production challenges, and ensuring adherence to both internal and external regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the site’s technical, quality, and food safety teams. Ensure all production processes comply with food safety standards, legislation, and company policies. Develop and implement quality systems, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards. Manage technical audits and inspections, both internal and external, ensuring compliance. Identify areas for continuous improvement in production processes and product quality. Work closely with other departments, such as production, logistics, and HR, to ensure seamless operations. Lead investigations into product non-conformances and implement corrective actions. Oversee training and development of technical staff to enhance skillsets and performance. Report on key performance indicators and technical achievements to senior management. The Candidate: The successful Technical Manager will: Have experience managing a team. Have led a team in a technical management position. Have food manufacturing experience. Have high risk experience.
