Job Description As a Front-End Developer, you will work closely with their design team to bring creative web designs to life, primarily building on Shopify and WordPress. Your keen eye for design and strong technical skills will help ensure that each project meets their high standards for quality, usability, and functionality. Your role will be critical in bridging the gap between design and development to produce well-rounded and aesthetically pleasing digital products. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain websites, primarily on Shopify and WordPress platforms, ensuring functionality, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility. Collaborate closely with their lead designer to interpret design mock-ups into pixel-perfect front-end code. Customise and implement themes, plugins, and modules, particularly for Shopify and WordPress, to support client needs. Optimise sites for speed, SEO, and user experience. Ensure accessibility standards are met and perform regular updates and maintenance to ensure site stability. Work with their development team to integrate APIs and other external tools where necessary, as well as perform any crucial security measures. Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in front-end development, eCommerce, and CMS platforms. Requirements 3+ years in front-end development, with a strong portfolio of work on Shopify and/or WordPress websites. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Strong experience in Shopify Liquid and WordPress theme development. Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design principles. Experience with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or similar. Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices. Familiarity with Git version control. Ability to understand and interpret design mock-ups, with a strong eye for layout, typography, and colour. Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools is a plus. Experience with additional platforms like WooCommerce, Squarespace, or Webflow is a plus. What they offer in Return Fully remote working in the UK. Company Pension Scheme.
