Your new company A successful regional housebuilding contractor seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to join their busy team. Working across Croydon, South East London & Kent, they typically work on projects of up to 100 units in size, both housing associations and private, all build types. Due to multiple project awards, they are now running with a record number of projects and are looking to add an additional Contracts Manager. Working from a purpose-built office in SE London, they have an extremely stable team across both commercial and operational departments and offer a strong pipeline of work, with projects for the next 18 months already secured.
Your new role As Contracts Manager, you will work closely with the delivery and commercial teams as well as external consultants to ensure the smooth running of up to 3 schemes. You will be responsible for all aspects of site setup, delivery, and handover including site mobilisation, program management, recruitment, health & safety oversight, design coordination, and client liaison. You will report to the Construction Director as part of a close-knit team of 3 working from the office with regular site visits.
What you'll need to succeed This is a key role within the business with the successful candidate expected to hit the ground running. As such, previous Contracts Manager experience in a similar role is essential, as is housebuilding experience with either a main contractor or developer. You will be fully IT literate and comfortable creating programmes, writing progress reports, and liaising with architects, structural engineers, client representatives, and other external stakeholders as the main point of contact.
