Our client, a leading law firm in North London, is looking to recruit a Solicitor with 1-3 years PQE to join their Corporate/Commercial team. The candidate will provide a high-quality legal service to clients in all aspects of company and commercial law. Your responsibilities will include: Provide a high-quality legal service to clients on all aspects of Company/Commercial law including Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring, Joint Ventures, GDPR advice, and secured Lending and Banking matters. Develop own technical knowledge and skills including the ability to analyse information and reach sound decisions. Communicate succinctly both orally and in writing. Research appropriate case law and technical and legal precedents to progress matters. Ensure you remain up to date professionally and technically by attaining and recording CPD and developing knowledge of the marketplace and client base. Assist the team in its marketing and business development objectives, including activities such as attending client events and writing text/articles for the website and other publications. About You The successful Corporate and Commercial Solicitor will: Have 1-3 years experience in this area of legal work, demonstrable through an awareness of relevant legislation and experience of providing advice on relevant issues. Have a demonstrable commitment to building and developing a career in Commercial Services, evidenced by legal experience in this area of law, broad commercial experience, CPD, and an awareness of wider issues in the marketplace. Be commercially minded with the ability to operate, liaise, and advise to a high standard and think laterally and commercially with and for clients. Have experience working to targets and time recording. Have an awareness and demonstrable experience of involvement with business development activity. Have a flexible approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Be IT literate, including proficiency with Microsoft applications and self-sufficiency in using document management systems.
