Administrator Receptionist - Part Time - 15 hours per week To form an integral part of the front of house and administrative team, contributing to the daily office routine within General Practice. The role shall include various administrative tasks, reception duties and dealing with telephone enquiries.

Main duties of the job The following are the core responsibilities of the Administrator Receptionist. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

Undertake reception duties when required following protocols and procedures.

Greet all patients and visitors in a courteous and polite manner, offering all reasonable assistance.

Handle and process prescriptions, ensuring all prescription requests are processed and ready for collection within 3 working days.

Book appointments by telephone and face to face.

Receive and make calls as required. Divert calls to relevant team and deal with general enquiries and appointment line.

Undertake administrative duties - completing tasks both in EMIS Web and DOCMAN.

Register new patients.

Scan and file incoming documents and post.

Deal with email queries following protocols and procedures.

Undertake a range of administrative duties supporting colleagues in the wider team at VMC which includes:

Clinical coding and summarising of clinical records.

Deductions.

Incoming and sending of medical notes.

Immunisations and child health management including monitoring of Antenatal workload and childhood vaccination.

Redactions of records.
