You will be working for a key player within the fenestration and facades industry, a niche but valued area of the construction and manufacturing sector. Your remit will include: Exercising a proven strategy regarding people development, facilitating effective implementation of new people management initiatives in different departments and across all levels of the business. Assisting management in resolving escalated employee relation issues, conducting effective investigations, and recommending action for sensitive and complex situations. Working alongside the Management team to develop, evolve, and evaluate the people strategy, providing insight from the teams to help inform decision-making processes. Striving to monitor, challenge, and improve existing people policies and procedures in the business, ensuring alignment with the business’s values and external legislations, updating each as required. Coaching, mentoring, and developing the Polar Family, identifying areas for upskilling, and challenging thought processes to help develop individuals and drive them towards a growth mindset. Remaining the ambassador of culture, continually challenging the status quo, and reviewing external trends and competitors to benchmark the people offering, supporting the evolution of the Polar family. The successful candidate will: Have full and up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment legislation and practices. Have previous and proven managing, coaching, and team development experience. Have experience in influencing senior management and departmental heads into the adoption of ultimately beneficial people management policies and procedures. Be capable of tailoring even the most complex messages for different audiences in a manner appropriate to the audience. Be self-motivated, proactive, going beyond the call of duty, have a keen eye for detail, be result-oriented, and have the ability to stay calm under pressure and in uncertainty, inspiring the same in the team. Be agile to change and pragmatic, a collaborative team player, and be comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment where identifying needs, providing solutions, and adding value is a prerequisite. Have commercial awareness and be a creative problem solver with the ability to think laterally and understand the cost and value drivers within a competitive business environment. Exhibit a high level of professional courtesy, ethics, and integrity. KPI’s include: Staff retention Staff Net Promoter score Completion of survey by staff targets Diversity, equality, and inclusion are proud values of the organization.
