This is a temporary position for a Speech and Language Therapist at the St Neots Neurological Centre in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. The therapist will work with patients affected by neurological or mental health conditions, leading group therapy sessions and building one-on-one rapport to encourage recovery. The role requires experience in managing a caseload, conducting assessments, and developing interventions. Where you will be working

Location : Howitts Lane, Eynesbury, St Neots, Cambridgeshire, PE19 2JA

You will be working in the heart of St Neots in Cambridge, working alongside the team at St Neots Hospital which offers care, therapeutic and rehabilitation pathways for those affected by a neurological or mental health condition for which challenging behaviour may be the leading impairment.

You will lead group therapeutic sessions, helping people develop and improve their speech and communication. Building one-to-one rapport with service users, you will encourage engagement and empower recovery. You will have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.

As a Speech and Language Therapist you will be:

Demonstrating specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and generating appropriate strategies for caseload management.

Undertaking audits and contributing to research in the provision of treatments.

Utilizing specialist knowledge in the areas of neurological rehabilitation and specialist care.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

HCPC registration

Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia

Experience of working with families

Evidence of continuing Professional Development

Person Specification Qualifications

The successful candidate must have HCPC registration, experience in managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia, experience of working with families, and evidence of continuing professional development.
