The Role: Gain an in-depth understanding of the financial products, market risk profile and risk mitigation techniques and strategies. Be responsible for producing and reviewing daily/monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, including month end close process. Partner with colleagues across the bank to investigate and resolve accounting issues. Validate our reporting to external regulators. Provide financial insight and partner with Trading colleagues to optimise business performance. Engage in ad-hoc project work to drive efficiency and enhancement to our routines. What we look for? Preferred: 2:1 from a UK University (or equivalent). Qualified/part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent). Rich and varied experiences from a range of backgrounds. Advanced Excel skills. Understands and applies knowledge of financial concepts, principles, products, and other relevant financial information. It is not necessary for new recruits to have worked in financial services previously as industry specific knowledge can be learned on the job. In addition, you will attend a structured learning programme which provides insight into the financial products we trade and the markets in which we operate. All new hires will also undertake a formal on-boarding programme with a focus on navigating our organisation and ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition into the working environment of our firm.
