to join our
Clinical Pathology Services
team. Based at our site in
Harrogate ,
North Yorkshire , the role will be performing laboratory analytical techniques in Clinical Pathology Services using a variety of Haematology and Chemistry analysers to obtain results for
Toxicological
and
Clinical
samples . Main responsibilities include:
Perform routine operational procedures for a comprehensive range of CPS studies and participate in cross-training to ensure such studies are performed in accordance with regulatory, productivity and timescale requirements. Provide, analyse and discuss scientific data collected during specialised testing, troubleshoot and communicate any assay problems, implement any required changes, and undertake technical responsibilities as required in the role of Responsible Scientist. Support other scientific and client-facing personnel and ensure quality/timeliness of all personal work performed meets required standards. Implement and maintain quality improvement and measurement initiatives for processes. Review and update SOPs/APs/WDs where necessary, and ensure compliance with all written procedures. Participate in the introduction of new techniques, validation of methodologies and relevant procedures in collaboration with the Technical Specialist and Senior Scientists. Educated to BSc level in a relevant life science subject. Skills and experience:
Experienced in hematology, biochemistry, sample handling, urinalysis and coagulation analysis. Knowledge and a good understanding of Good Laboratory Practice. Methodical with excellent attention to detail. Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information. Familiarity with standard spreadsheet and word-processing software applications.
