Your new company

You will be joining a well-renowned, leading accountancy firm, who have both regional and national presence, offering services including accounts, audit, tax, corporate finance, forensics, and more. As a leading firm, there is endless scope for progression and to move through the ranks with exciting opportunities along the way. This is an exciting time to be joining the business as the firm has been going through a period of exciting growth and change that will enable you to see clear progression pathways as an accountant. With a strong local presence and knowledge in the market, they support a portfolio of predominantly SMEs, sole traders, and limited companies. Due to continuous internal growth, a senior accounts position has now arisen.

Your new role

As a senior accountant, you will be joining the business services team, reporting into seniors, whilst overseeing juniors beneath you. Day-to-day duties will consist of overseeing a portfolio of clients, acting as their point of contact and supporting them daily, with the guidance of your manager. You will be forming new relationships whilst maintaining current ones, offering advice to your clients. Other duties will include producing statutory accounts, whilst reviewing the work of juniors and training them day-to-day.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 4 years experience in practice, working in a similar role. You will need to be a finalist level in your professional qualifications (ACCA or ACA), qualified by experience, or a qualified accountant. Previous experience preparing statutory accounts and reviewing the work of juniors is essential.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be offered a competitive salary, ranging between £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience. You will receive continuous on-site training and development programmes to help you progress through the firm and guide you through to promotions. You will have the opportunity to take real ownership of your work, being able to manage your own portfolio of clients and oversee a team beneath you.
