I am working with a leading manufacturing company who is looking to take on an experienced Management Accountant on a temp to perm basis to join them in their office based in Chorley. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role is responsible for the production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. Your new role

Within your new role, you will be responsible for: Accurate monthly management accounts, adhering to deadlines, ensuring accuracy of ledger postings. Producing, developing, and posting journals for accruals and prepayments. Monthly variance analysis on actual financial performance vs budgets and forecasts. Leading in the monthly P&L and balance sheet calls. Balance sheet reconciliations identifying any risks and opportunities. Supporting in the reporting and communicating of financial information to finance, operational and commercial colleagues. Proactively identifying and helping drive performance improvements across contracts and processes.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed, you will need to have: Previous experience in Management Accountancy in a similar environment. Strong IT skills, including Intermediate Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables, Sumifs, etc.). Experience in outsourced project-based industries or construction. Experience working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of quality and detail.

What you'll get in return
