Senior Project/Contracts Manager - High End Joinery & Fit Out - UK & Abroad

Company: My company is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation and an international track record of achievement within a broad range of sectors including marine, luxury hotels, prime residential and commercial.

Role: My client is looking for an experienced project manager who would split their time between working from home and sites both in the UK and abroad (2/3 times per year for 3 or 4 weeks at a time).

What they are looking for: The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience leading project delivery within the interior fit-out industry and a third-level construction-related qualification. Candidates must have excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills along with strong contract knowledge and commercial acumen. Experience of delivering marine fit-out projects is desirable but not essential. Main duties will include: Manage the successful delivery of projects. Undertake responsibility for all safety, health, environment and quality matters ensuring adherence to statutory and legal requirements and Company procedures. Develop the project plan and budget, monitor progress and ensure deliverables are achieved. Ensure that project resources i.e. staff, labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors are effectively managed. Manage client relationships. Ensure contractual conditions are adhered to and the contractual position is not compromised. Proactively participate in value engineering to maximise project contribution.
