Job Description We are looking for a casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our wonderful team at Lumino Ferrymead. Here at Lumino Ferrymead, we are a family-orientated practice made up of highly experienced clinicians and support staff who have been providing good oral health to the Christchurch community for over 20 years. As the new Dental Assistant, you will support the highly experienced team of clinicians. You will assist them with various and interesting dental procedures during patient appointments. You will also take responsibility for instrument sterilisation, infection control, and stock control. You will be required to help at reception from time to time, so being a people person is essential. As the Receptionist, you will be the face and voice of the practice. A typical day will see you assisting our patients with their enquiries, generating and confirming appointment bookings, completing payment processing, banking, and other ad hoc administrative duties. It will be rewarding as no two days are the same, and what a pleasure to see people leaving with a smile on their faces! Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will bring: Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but we are willing to fully train the right person! Ideally, sterilisation and/or customer-facing experience. Warm and positive attitude and team-orientated approach. Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail. Computer savvy skills with the ability to pick up things quickly. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Additional Information Join Us in Making a Difference.
