Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will manage family law cases and provide essential support throughout the legal process. This role requires a strong understanding of family law principles, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Duties Preparing legal documents, including petitions, affidavits, and court filings related to family law matters. Conducting legal research to support case preparation and provide relevant information to solicitors. Maintaining accurate and organised case files, ensuring all documentation is up to date and accessible. Communicating with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and address any queries they may have. Managing schedules for court appearances, meetings, and deadlines, ensuring timely submissions of documents. Utilising IT systems and software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and other office applications to facilitate efficient workflow. Preparing for hearings by compiling evidence and preparing exhibits as required. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Familiarity with IT systems relevant to legal practice is advantageous. A keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial for success in this role.
