Your new company
A growing business with an international footprint governed by IFRS seeks to appoint a technically astute accountant to oversee one of their largest offshore business units in an end-to-end controllership role.
Your new role
You will oversee all financial operations for a sizeable business unit based in Europe with oversight for a team of 4 direct reports. You and your team will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. You will develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS and local standards as well as managing the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Furthermore, you will conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities. You will lead and mentor the finance team based in Europe, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. For that reason, the role will require some ad-hoc travel (3 continuous days per month) over to Europe to support the wider team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills. Furthermore, you will be familiar with the SAP system and relish working within a division of an international group, appreciating the need to work to a tight global timetable.
