(IDS) based in Chesterfield wish to recruit a Financial /Management Accountant to join a small but experienced team manufacturing specialised drilling equipment for geotechnical operations supplying customers around the world. IDS is part of a privately owned group of companies with a turnover c.£30m with c.250 employees operating from 6 locations in the UK. Both IDS and the Newby Group are going through a period of rapid expansion. Hours:

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours. Salary:

c.£45,000 dependent on experience and qualifications. Commercial involvement: The successful candidate should expect to become involved with the commercial future of the business outside the traditional accounting areas. Duties Include: Production and ownership of monthly management accounts. Balance sheet control. Responsibility for period end management accounts processes and sign off, including full balance sheet workings and reconciliation between cost of sales and client billing. Preparation, analysis and communication of monthly financial performance to key management and stakeholders, including analysis of actuals. Preparation and presentation of P&L and Balance Sheets. Other adhoc management information or other work which may be required. Continuous improvement in planning, reporting, control and other management accounting processes. Key Skills & Experience Required: Previous experience within a management accountant role. Advanced Excel and other IT skills. Planning and organisational skills. Presentation and communication skills. Analytically minded. Team player. Commercial awareness. Ability to plan and manage own workload effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to take responsibility. Good communication skills. Good planning and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. May also be working towards a financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA, AAT). To apply for this role:
