Manchester MLK Education Search is supporting a small co-educational Secondary Academy in Greater Manchester to appoint an exceptional candidate who can lead a forward-thinking and ambitious Mathematics department. The successful applicant will join an established Maths department with key responsibilities to: Create an action plan for the improvement of Mathematics Develop a training and coaching programme for all departmental staff Advise staff on available resources and encourage innovative approaches to learning Ensure the Mathematics curriculum meets the needs of all learners Regularly review and update schemes for learning Monitor student progress and ensure timely interventions Quality assure all aspects of work within the department Provide regular assessments of departmental performance to the line manager. Responsibilities for managing staff include: Second in Department for Mathematics Mathematics Teachers Conducting performance reviews Managing attendance and performance Participating in recruitment and selection of new staff Holding regular line management meetings.
