This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Data Science team in our London office, predominantly focused on projects in the UK and the Netherlands. We work collaboratively with all parts of Simon-Kucher, and you will have the opportunity to work on projects including market reviews, revenue growth, pricing, marketing efficiency and digital strategy. How you will create impact: As a Senior Manager in the Data Science team at Simon Kucher, you will be an integral part of the project teams working to drive top-line growth for our clients. You will be responsible for: Leadership and Strategy Lead and expand the Advanced Analytics team, managing a group of data scientists, analysts, and data engineers. Develop and execute a clear analytics strategy aligned with the company’s objectives, focusing on customer journey optimization. Advocate for data-driven decision making across the organization, enhancing data literacy at all levels. Analytics and Insights Oversee the design and deployment of sophisticated analytics models to deepen understanding of pricing response, customer behaviors and business dynamics. Implement advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to predict trends and improve operational efficiencies. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders for strategic decisions. Collaboration and Influence Work closely across all industries to support analytics activities into all facets of the business. Support client IT teams to embed and enhance data architecture and data warehousing, ensuring delivery of robust, scalable solutions. Performance and Reporting Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the impacts of analytics initiatives. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of data tools and methodologies, recommending improvements when necessary. Your profile: Degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, engineering, statistics, operational research, data science, or equivalent experience. Significant experience in advanced analytics and data science, working in a commercial application or in consulting. Strong programming skills in Python. Experience in developing ML or statistical models in the field of pricing (e.g. price elasticity modelling, revenue management, dynamic pricing). Experience applying advanced analytics and Machine Learning to solve business problems. Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI). Experience in data management software (e.g. SQL, Snowflake, Databricks). Open to learning new technologies and strategies to always stay up to date. Motivation to build high performing teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to simply and concisely explain complex analytical topics. In addition, these areas of knowledge and experience would really make your application stand out: Implementation experience with Machine Learning models, and emerging state of the art large language models would be an advantage. Knowledge of cloud-based solutions on any of the large providers (Azure, GCP or AWS). Familiarity with collaborative software tools (Git, Jira, etc.). Knowledge of user interface applications (React, Java-script, etc.). Domain expertise in pricing, demand forecasting, or time-series modelling would be an advantage. What we offer:
