Experienced Autism and Learning Disability Complex Care Worker

We are seeking experienced workers for a 2:1 complex care package to support a young male client who has Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated complexities and learning disabilities. Full person-centered training will be provided to enhance any theoretical knowledge candidates already possess. A full UK license with no convictions in the last 5 years and no accidents in the last 3 years is essential to drive the client vehicle (Insurance will be provided). The package requirements will include day shifts, evening shifts, weekend community outings, and 24-hour support at a respite facility. Paid training, shadowing, and workshop sessions will be provided across a variety of days and times (example: 6am-11am, 4pm-10pm, 9am-3pm). Candidates with an upbeat and cheerful personality who are willing to learn routines, be supportive of the client's individual needs, and happy to attend training workshops to enhance their knowledge and skill-set are vital to this team. This client and his family require a team who will be dedicated to the package and committed to their professional learning while developing their knowledge and skills. Sponsorships are not available. Salary: £11.66-£13.30 per hour Full / Part Time / Bank Main responsibilities:

Supporting the individual in a person-centered way Overseeing routines as devised in support plans from a range of professionals Supporting all aspects of personal care Providing clinical interventions as required Assisting community enabling / college / respite visits Administering and managing all levels of medication as required Managing nutritional and fluid intake/output Assisting activities while advocating and empowering independence Working in a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring compliance for Health and Safety Ensuring all records are maintained according to policy and procedure Attending all training/workshops and competency sessions Attending team meetings Responding positively to changing needs and managing risk effectively Undertaking other duties as may reasonably be required All applicants will need to evidence they have the required experience or previous training in areas of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and Challenging Behaviours. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Ex Offenders Act, alongside exemption from the Equality Act. A satisfactory enhanced adult workforce DBS/update service DBS is required for the post.
