40 hours per week We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of our computer systems, hardware, and software. This role involves working closely with our external IT provider, Oryxalign, to provide comprehensive technical support and solutions. Your efforts will be crucial to our success, and you'll report directly to our Chief Financial Officer. While your primary responsibilities include the following, they will evolve over time to align with your professional growth: Role Overview: Handle new IT equipment for all users, set up workstations, and regularly update systems for security and efficiency. Provide technical support and troubleshooting, swiftly addressing IT issues and queries from staff and clients, and resolving hardware or software faults. Collaborate with Oryxalign to implement IT strategies and solutions, ensuring effective integration with internal systems. Perform system maintenance and upgrades in collaboration with Oryxalign, including regular checks, planning, and executing system upgrades, and ensuring data backups. Oversee local and wide area networks, and monitor network performance to ensure system reliability and availability. Assist in the creation of new user accounts, manage account changes, and handle the setup for new users and departing employees. Participate in projects established to deliver key business initiatives. Minimum Requirements: 1 year+ in IT Support environment Demonstrable experience of providing on-site support Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software. Support and provide expertise of the evolving Microsoft 365 suite of products. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work effectively with external IT service providers. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are advantageous. Strong attention to detail and able to produce work with a high level of accuracy.
